The young ambitious race driver took his first steps in karting at the age of 13. Soon he was able to demonstrate his potential, and after learning his lessons, he showed his skills by winning several races of different karting championships.
After six years of karting, the determined Swiss changed to car racing, which was a dream come true. He used this chance and became Vice-Champion of the Formula Lista Junior Series 2010. Getting another unique chance, he decided to go on to Formula 3 in 2011, which is a highly competitive Series already. It was a difficult year however and Yannick could not do the full campaign due to several limitations. He came back for a full German F3 campaign in 2012, where he proved his ability with a race win and several podiums.
Yannick Mettler is determined to become a professional racing driver. He works hard each day to reach his ultimate goal, motivated by passion and the will to succeed.
